The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency has ended, and continuous coverage ended April 1, 2023. Continuous coverage allowed most people to keep Medical Assistance coverage since 2020. As of April 1, 2023, the Department of Human Services (DHS) must check to see if people are still eligible for Medical Assistance.
You will get a renewal packet in the mail when it is time to renew your Medical Assistance benefits. DHS has more information and answers to frequently asked questions.
